RYA PRACTICAL SAIL TRAINING
All our courses cover the RYA syllabi as described in the RYA G15/98 Cruising Log Book.

Our 5 day courses begin on Monday morning at 0900hrs and our weekend courses start on Friday evening at 2000hrs. All our courses can be completed over 5/6 days or 3 weekends.

All our courses cover the RYA syllabi as described in the RYA G18/98 Motorcruising Log Book.

The Helmsman's course is 2 days, the Day Skipper Course is 4 days. All other courses are 5 days.

RYA SHOREBASED COURSES
All our instructors hold an RYA/DOT Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence as a minimum qualification, as well as a genuine passion for being on and around the water.

During each course there will be time to exchange views and socialise with all participants over a relaxing three course lunch aboard The North Sea Centre.

Remember all courses are designed to further your knowledge in a pastime which is both exacting and exhilarating. Combining the theory learned in these courses with the equivalent practical training courses, will help to make you a more 'all rounded' Skipper, whether it be sailing or motor cruising.

RYA Shorebased Courses

VHF/DSC SHORT RANGE CERTIFICATE (including GMDSS)
The International Radio Regulations require that the Radiotelephone in every Vessel shall be under the control of the holder of a certificate issued or recognised by the government to which the vessel is subject.

In the U.K the government department responsible for radio regulations is the Department of Trade and Industry. Since April 1983 it has delegated the authority to examine for Radio Operator Certificates to the RYA.
